English Pocket Slate
Artifact Description
3 Lines, 26 Cells — Brass Slate
This slate was used for producing English Braille.
Note that the back of the slate does not have pits to guide the stylus, only horizontal grooves. The top of the slate has the standard rectangular shape, but without the notches.
