      The Interlining Desk Slate
       

      Artifact Description:

      This model was for children. The slate allows for wider spaces between the Brailled letters and double spacing between the lines.  The paper can be turned over and written on the back side.  Note the carved shape at the top right of the board. This is for resting your stylus.
