The Iowa Department for the Blind (IDB) welcomes two new additions to the workforce at the agency.

John Watts joined IDB’s staff on Monday, August 11 as a Technology Analyst. His work duties will include providing support for the eForce system. John earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology-Web Development from Kaplan University. He has experience in web design, SQL server, and general technical support that will make him a valuable asset to our tech team.

Mary McGee began working as a temporary Policy Analyst on Monday, August 4. Mary will be conducting research and working with the IDB management team to help develop policies in a variety of areas, including the various programs, as well as general agency policies. Her legal experience provides excellent background for this effort which is expected to take several months. Her work will ensure that IDB has current written policies in place.
