You can support the Iowa Department for the Blind and the services the Department provides to blind and visually impaired Iowans in a number of ways.
Hundreds of volunteers across the country share their time and talents with the Department. You can too. Learn how to become a volunteer [1].
Join the Friends of Iowa Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped [2], an all volunteer, non-profit group, dedicated to supporting the Iowa Department for the Blind's Library.
Donations to the Department are always welcome and most appreciated. These gifts may be tax-deductible and enable the Department to meet the additional needs of blind individuals that cannot be met through its state and federally funded programs. Checks may be made payable to the Iowa Department for the Blind, with a notation indicating that the money is a donation. Contributions can also be made through memorials and bequests.
