      Two Iowa students qualify for national Braille Challenge

      The logo of The Braille Challenge indicates it is "A National Program of Braille Institute."The list of regional Braille Challenge contestants that have qualified for competition at the national level has been released. Two students that participated in Iowa's regional Braille Challenge will be traveling to Los Angeles this June to participate nationally at The 2016 Braille Challenge.

      Library reports smooth transition to new system

      The Iowa Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is happy to report that the transition to the new library system during the first half of the month of March 2016 went well and normal services have resumed. In addition, the new On-line Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is live and operational. As always, patrons may call the library with any questions at 515-281-1368 or, in Iowa, 800-362-2587, ext. 1-1368.
