Overview

We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity within the Leadership, Advocacy, Empowerment Program (LEAP) β€” Thrive Thursdays! This weekly addition is designed specifically for Pre-ETS students (ages 14-21) who may have faced scheduling conflicts or logistical challenges that prevented them from enrolling in a full LEAP block. Thrive Thursdays offer the perfect opportunity to experience a day of impactful programming in a fun and dynamic setting!

Each Thrive Thursday includes Workplace Readiness training in the morning, followed by an exciting STEM-focused workshop in the afternoon, led by industry professionals and coordinated in partnership with the library. Students will gain hands-on experience, build confidence, and explore a variety of career paths!

Students also have the option to stay overnight if they wish. To discuss arrangements, please contact Ambrose Ball-Harney at (515) 829-7411 or Ambrose.BallHarney@blind.state.ia.us.
