Overview
Designed for students ages 14–21, these retreats take place at the Iowa Department for the Blind (in Des Moines) from October through May (excluding November and March). Each weekend provides a short-term commitment with long-term benefits, focusing on essential blindness skills in a relaxed and social setting!
Activities vary throughout the year, but may include activities such as:
- Attending performances at the Des Moines Civic Center
- Exploring a corn maze
- Sledding at Sleepy Hollow
- Movie nights, scavenger hunts, and more!
