Next week marks National DeafBlind Awareness Week, a special time to raise public awareness about individuals who have combined hearing and vision loss. It is also a time to celebrate the extraordinary legacy of Helen Keller, a Deafblind pioneer and advocate, who was born on June 27, 1880.

We invite you to join us for a week of engaging virtual presentations and inspiring guest speakers, led by DeafBlind Specialist Carol Manning. Each day will highlight the importance of awareness, inclusion, and advocacy for DeafBlind individuals.

  • Daily sessions will take place on Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, at 11:30 a.m. (CST).
  • Please email Carol Manning for the meeting link

This year, we’re thrilled to welcome two Iowan DeafBlind guest speakers, who will be spotlighted during the week to share their unique stories and perspectives. Interpreters will be provided for all sessions.
